2024 Summer Hangang River Festival  Jul 26 – Aug 11

As summer draws to a close in Korea, Seoul wraps up the season with a variety of special events, activities, and celebrations along the Hangang River. Both locals and visitors can enjoy the warm weather and make the most of the final days of the Summer Hangang River Festival 2024.

I. [Culture] Summer Music Picnic

Enjoy a delightful evening at the Midsummer Outdoor Concert, featuring a mix of traditional Korean music, bands, choral performances, and other musical genres. This concert is open to the public and offers a relaxing way to spend a summer night by the Hangang River.

II. [Rest] Hangang Star Forest Cinema

Watch a great movie at an outdoor theater set up in Hangang Park. As the sun sets, settle in for an enjoyable film experience under the night sky. This unique venue provides a cozy and memorable atmosphere for movie lovers.

III. [Rest] Hangang Cinema on the Water

Experience a movie like never before at the Water Movie Theater on the Han River. Watch a film from a floating theater, enjoying the unique experience of being on the water. Ride a duck boat or a bungee boat and immerse yourself in the magic of cinema right on the river.

IV. [Rest] Hangang Cinema Pondang

Spend an evening at the Natural Water Park, where you can watch the sunset and enjoy the night view of the Han River. As the pool lights up, float on the water and watch a movie, creating a relaxing and romantic atmosphere.

V. [Culture] Silent Disco Party

Join a Silent Disco Party on the riverbank, where you can dance to music using wireless headphones. This trendy event allows everyone to enjoy their favorite tunes while dancing under the stars in a unique and fun setting.

VI. [Rest] Shining Moonlight Pool

Visit the Han River Swimming Pool for a dreamy summer retreat under the moonlight. Lounge on a sunbed with iced coffee, chat with friends, or watch sports games and movies on a large projector. This urban oasis is perfect for relaxing summer nights, even if you don’t swim.

VII. [Rest] K-Pop Pyromusical Cruise

Take a cruise on the Han River and enjoy a spectacular fireworks show set to music. The cruise also includes a tour through the river locks and various live performances on board, making it a memorable night of entertainment.

VIII. [Challenge] Sebitseom Island Kayak Festival

Try kayaking on the Han River with the beautiful scenery of Sebitseom, Korea’s first floating island, as your backdrop. This activity lets you explore the river and enjoy the stunning views while paddling at your own pace.

IX. [Culture] Moonlight Circus

Watch an exciting Dongchun Circus performance that features thrilling acts, amazing acrobatics, and well-coordinated music and lighting. This family-friendly show promises to be a highlight of the festival, providing fun and entertainment for all ages.
