The Muju Firefly Festival offers a magical nighttime experience with thousands of bioluminescent fireflies illuminating forest trails, nature walks, and stargazing activities in a stunning natural setting.
The Muju Firefly Festival, held in a region renowned for its stunning valleys, mountains, and dense forests, offers a unique nighttime experience away from the intense summer heat. As night falls, families and couples board shuttle buses to forest pathways where lamps guide them through trails illuminated by up to 10,000 bioluminescent fireflies. Visitors can gently interact with these natural light producers, a rare sight in metropolitan areas due to light pollution and climate change. The festival features nature walks, exhibitions, and entertainment, with the main attraction beginning after 8 PM when the fireflies light up the sky. The Star Picnic Program allows attendees to relax on air cushions and gaze at the starry night. This festival, the only one of its kind in Korea, attracts numerous visitors each year for its natural beauty and photo opportunities.

- Admission Fee: Up to 1,200 people per day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) / 600 people (Monday-Thursday),
- 15,000 won per person (no distinction between adults and children / free for children under 36 months)
