Yeongdong-gun County in Chungcheongbuk-do Province, home to Korea’s largest vineyard, hosts the annual Yeongdong Grapes Festival at the end of August, celebrating its  grape cultivation and the high quality of its produce. Visitors can participate in grape picking, tasting, and various grape-themed activities like making grape desserts, wine, and soap, dancing in a grape pool, and catching floating grapes. The festival also features competitions such as grape darts and a grape-carrying mini-marathon. Highlights include grape sales, grape stomping, and engaging children’s programs, offering dozens of experiences like wine making, juice processing, and traditional handicrafts. Besides you can stop to visit the famous Yeongdong Wine Tunnel, a 420m-long wine storage tunnel, features the Wine Culture Hall and the Yeongdong Wine Hall, showcasing and selling locally produced wines, making it Korea’s top wine-producing region and a must-visit for grape and wine enthusiasts.
