The Semiwon Lotus Festival, Semiwon’s premier summer event, runs from Friday, June 28 to Thursday, August 15, 2024, offering daily access from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. This festival features stunning lotus displays, various exhibitions, performances, and interactive programs, allowing visitors to appreciate the charm of lotus flowers both day and night. Located in Gyeonggi-do’s first local garden, Semiwon not only purifies water naturally through aquatic plants but also showcases a variety of plants from themed gardens and conducts educational activities. Created to enhance the Han River’s beauty and ecology, Semiwon is situated at the picturesque Yangsuri Dumulmeori River, where the Namhangang and Bukhangang Rivers converge. Remember, being summer the peak for its flowers, its worth visiting the garden during the last days of the festival.
