Pohang has become a popular location for many local couples and families looking for a short and quiet getaway during the global pandemic. As such, many cafes have begun to spring up, dotting the oceanic coastal trail of Pohang. One of these such cafes that have been catching the eyes (and hearts) of many locals and travelers alike, is Cape Lounge.
Cape Lounge is a cafe in the middle of the Starscape Villa compound, allowing its customers to enjoy the impeccable views of the east sea of Korea. Its lovely architectural structures and clean colors make for a lovely contrast with the ocean. During sunset, the orange colors also create an entirely different atmosphere.
The cafe has two floors and is surrounded by glass with its seats facing out for a lovely view of the ocean. There are also various spots to take beautiful photos with the sea and the architecture. The second view has outdoor seating that is usually full during the summer. The drinks and snacks are a little of the pricier side as compared to many cafes that you find in Seoul, but the view of the cafe can be said to be priceless.
There were many other cafes with views of the coastal line in Korea, but Cape Lounge was definitely one of the top few that I’ve been to. I’d also have stayed in Starscape if I had the budget to do so. Do take note that since this is by the sea, the winds are very strong and chilly during the cold seasons.
